The Lemon Technique

The Lemon Technique is a simple, yet profound, self-hypnosis tool used to quickly demonstrate the mind-body connection.

When you vividly imagine holding a bright, juicy lemon, cutting it, and biting into it, your brain interprets that image as real and triggers a physical response—your mouth begins to water, and you may even feel a slight pucker.

This simple exercise proves that:

  • Your mind and body are directly linked.

  • You can deliberately use your imagination to create a very real physical effect.

By learning this control, you can then use your imagination to trigger more beneficial responses, such as calm and comfort, to manage daily stress or anxiety.
